Building India's healthiest homes.
crudeFree is a healthy materials company. We find, verify and deliver materials that don't harm the people who live with them, or the planet they come from.
Not out of ignorance. Out of access.
Most of what goes into a home, from the paint on the walls to the foam in the sofa, is made from crude oil or petrochemicals. During use, many of these materials release chemicals and microplastics into the air we breathe and the dust we touch.
People don't choose them because they don't care. They choose them because the alternatives were scattered across dozens of vendors, hard to sample and impossible to compare.
So we built one place for all of them. We find the makers, check every ingredient, test for performance, and bring the materials to homeowners, designers and builders with honest quotes and fast sampling.
Four checks before anything joins the collection.
Ingredients disclosed
The maker must tell us everything that's in it. Every product page shows what's in it and what was left out.
Certified
We check emission ratings, test reports and standards, from A+ VOC (ISO 16000-6) to IS codes.
Manufacturer-backed
We work directly with makers, with documentation and warranties where they apply.
Performs as well
It must be as strong, durable and fire-safe as the material it replaces, or we say where it isn't suitable.
We also say what we don't recommend. For example, we don't use AgriBioPanel in wet zones like washrooms, under sinks or for planters.
Rahul Jain
"People make unhealthy material choices not out of ignorance, but because the healthy ones were hard to get. We're changing that."
After graduating from IIT Roorkee in 2015, Rahul founded Go Get Garbage, a zero-waste company. He saw that most products are never designed to be reused, so they end up in landfills that leak into our air, water and soil.
At Social Alpha, as a portfolio manager working with alternative-materials companies, he saw the gap clearly: better materials existed, but nobody was making them accessible. That's why he started crudeFree.
A world where a freshly painted home doesn't smell of chemicals, a rug in your child's room comes with no guilt, and the materials we choose go back to the earth instead of sitting in a landfill.
Infinite possibilities for a healthier living.
